Bargaining Update Oct. 25

Today, the members of Cincinnati State AAUP voted to accept the tentative agreement for a new contract. The vote was 107 to 3.

The College Board of Trustees is expected to vote on the tentative agreement at their meeting on Tuesday, October 28.

Cincinnati State faculty members will be in our classrooms on Monday, so we can complete the Early Fall Term and the rest of the academic year.

News Release - October 24, 2008

The Cincinnati State faculty union, the American Association of University Professors, and the administration of Cincinnati State Technical and Community College have reached a tentative agreement on a new contract. No details will be available on the three-year contract until it is ratified by both sides.

Union members will vote tomorrow (October 25, 2008) at 10:00 a.m. The College's Board of Trustees is expected to vote on the contract at its regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, October 28, 2008, at 5:30 p.m. in the college's conference center

Both sides have suspended strike preparations pending ratification.

Fair Share Notification

The AAUP, as the legal bargaining agent for Cincinnati State faculty, is required to provide periodic notification to all members concerning the method for calculating the fair share fee. The Fair Share Fee Notification form will provide more information on this. Any faculty member with further questions should contac Chapter President Paul Davis or Chapter Membership Chair Janice Lockett.
